HHI’s primary business is to initiate,
promote, develop and operate strategically important roads,
tunnels, bridges and related infrastructure projects in Guangdong
Province in the southern PRC, and in particular the Pearl
River Delta (PRD) region bordering Hong Kong. All the existing
projects are strategic components or links in the PRD’s
developing highway network.
We currently have interests in the following toll-expressway
projects which are in operation:
- The Guangzhou-Shenzhen Superhighway (GS Superhighway)
- Phase I of the Western Delta Route (Phase I West)
- Phase II of the Western Delta Route (Phase II West)
In September 2007, HHI successfully disposed its 45% stake in Guangzhou
East-South-West Ring Road to Guangzhou City Tongda Highway Company
for a consideration of RMB1,712.55 million.
All the existing project interests are held through Sino-foreign
co-operative joint ventures established according to applicable
PRC laws, and all involving PRC partners established by, or
closely associated with, the governmental or administrative
bodies that are responsible for the transport infrastructure
within the relevant regions and localities.
